Who IS
MASS CASUALTY

A mass casualty incident describes an incident within the United States in which emergency medical services resources, such as personnel and equipment, are overwhelmed by the number and severity of casualties.
Beyond piano lessons from age 7 thru 12, Mass Casualty has had no formal musical training. Self-taught in the guitar, bass, music theory, sound design, and vinyl deck DJing in the early 2000s, my musical journey has been one of discovery, learning, and joy.

I strive to create soundscapes and layered pieces of electronica that summon both the base and the enlightened emotive forces within the human soul. Some dance-y some trance-y and some just moody and introspective. But all carefully crafted and painstakingly tweaked in the best tradition of independent, untrained art.

The name "Mass Casualty" comes from the final test exercise in the US Navy boot camp in the early 2000's which simulated the attack on the USS Cole for purposes of testing the recruit's ability to maintain discipline and a clear head in a mass casualty situation. In a mixture of defiance as an anti-war veteran as well as a careful cynicism for the path of society which many of my tracks attempt to project, I took the name as my own.
